EK 7v7 is in its inaugural year but plans to be the top travel 7on7 program in the state. We have ran camps and progams in the Pittsbugh area for over 25 years!
We plan to play a few local tournaments and a few that will reqiuire a bit of travel.
EK 7v7 is a development program. We accept whoever wants to be great, and we try to instill the mental and physical tools that will steer them on the path to becoming great. Travel 7v7 is a competitive off-season component that requires a substantial financial & time commitment and a relentless work ethic. By learning proper technique, performing thousands of reps, and competing against elite talent, players return to their high school program a better football player than what they were the previous season. Players that have the desire to become a great football player and parents that have the desire for their sons to become great football players should try out for the EK travel 7on7 program.
EK 7v7 will attempt field:
2 – 10u Team
2 – 12u Team
2 – 14u Team
2 – 15u Team
2 - 18u Team ( most 18u “teams” will be high school based teams )
Players will be selected upon participating in the Tryout. Their performance will be graded. And grades will determine players selected.

The season fee will cover supervised practices with coaches and athletic trainers in attendance for each, uniforms, tournament costs, & administrative costs. Each player/parent/family is free to travel using the mode that is best for them.

The 1st on-field practices will take place in early January. The 1st Tournament will be in early March. The exact tournament schedule will be distributed prior to the Tryouts. Possible tournament locations include PA, WV, OH, FL & IN...with others possible depending on the team.
The number of colleges that EK 7v7 will visit varies per year.
Everyone will play during pool play. Playing time is not guaranteed during elimination play. Coaches will compete to win during bracket play.
Each player will receive practice shorts, practice shirts, a tournament uniform with compression shorts and compression shirts, sweat pants, hoodie / jacket. Players are responsible for purchasing their own soft shell helmet.
Yes. We encourage players to cross train and play multiple sports, especially during the early years of your athletic career. We will receive a copy of the schedule for the other sports, and try to teach the player to become an expert in time management.
NO! 7v7 alone is not enough for you to get recruited. 7v7 should be used as a tool to get reps and get better at your craft. Using the technique and improved skill at college camps and during your upcoming season, hopefully you perform well enough to get recruited.
Highest GPA possible, have great film at your high school, be a great teammate, be a great leader, and do the right thing on and off the field.
No. EK does not work with any recruiting services. If you do what you need to do in the classroom and on the field, you do not need to pay for recruiting help.
We are a DEVELOPMENTAL organization that strives get the most reps. We will hang our hat on players getting the best coaching around. But most importantly, we will have more fun.
If your high school coach does not want you to participate, have your parents speak with your coach. If he still does not want you to participate after the conversation with your parents, do not participate.
If you know in advanced that you will not be able to attend the tryout, please register and notify Coach Kasper. The coaches will make arrangements to bring you to a training session prior to the tryout.
In previous years, EK has had players from as far north as Erie and as far south as Maryland. As long as you can attend the scheduled practices and tournaments, you can tryout to make one of the teams.
